Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kaygen, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and technical Business Analyst to serve as a vital liaison between corporate Accounting/Controllership users and global IT infrastructure teams. The role involves supporting, troubleshooting, and building reporting architectures within SAP BPC while assisting in the strategic migration to SAP Group Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact and liaison between corporate Accounting & Finance users and IT for all BPC Planning and Consolidation application issues, custom enhancements, and process improvement
- Rapidly analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex BPC application bugs, data discrepancies, and workflow failure
- Prioritize and manage system incident resolutions under tight deadlines aligned with critical month-end close, quarterly forecasting, and annual reporting timelines
- Support, modify, and enhance BPC Consolidation reporting pipelines, including Audit, Management, and Ad-Hoc leadership reporting
- Validate consolidated financial results for absolute accuracy and completeness before final closing window
- Partner with Corporate Accounting to scale, clean, and enhance complex reporting structures, account hierarchies, and cost centers
- Gather, document, and translate complex business needs from accountants into clear, actionable technical functional specifications for IT developers
- Support end-to-end system testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate financial data integrity
- Perform meticulous data reconciliations between BPC, SAP S/4HANA, and adjacent financial data warehouses to maintain consistent financial master data
- Provide critical BPC domain expertise during global design and gap-analysis discussions
- Thoroughly document current-state legacy processes, data models, and old reporting structures to ensure no data is lost during the move
- Actively participate in the testing, verification, and balance reconciliation efforts during the migration from legacy BPC Consolidation to SAP Group Reporting
Skills
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst embedded within a corporate Finance/Accounting division
- A robust, non-negotiable understanding of corporate financial close cycles, multi-entity accounting consolidation, and corporate reporting structures
- Hands-on experience on the technical support side of SAP BPC (not just utilizing the tool as a data entry user). You must have proven experience building BPC reports and troubleshooting backend data/system issues
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to Enterprise Performance Management tools such as SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), OneStream, or Hyperion (HFM/Essbase)
- A firm technical grasp of the data relationships between SAP S/4HANA Core ERP, BPC Planning modules, and BPC Consolidation layers
