[Remote] Account Development Specialist - AZ

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Curriculum Associates is dedicated to transforming education technology with innovative learning programs. The Account Development Specialist will focus on building partnerships with K–12 schools and districts, helping educators adopt tools that enhance student outcomes through effective outreach and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage inbound leads, following defined processes and engagement models
  • Proactively reach out to decision makers, generating and advancing pipeline opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Conduct exploratory conversations to understand educator needs
  • Deliver virtual product demonstrations to interested educators
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity and sales goals tied to quarterly bonuses
  • Build product expertise and understanding of K-8 classroom challenges and trends
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and customer data in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Gather competitive information and share market insights with internal teams to inform strategy
  • Partner closely with territory Educational Sales Consultants and cross-functional teams
  • Represent the company at in-person conferences or school visits

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of work experience with a background in sales, customer service, or K-12 education (or a combination)—teaching experience is highly valued and considered directly relevant
  • Customer-centric mindset with a background in teaching, sales, or customer success—a genuine passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students
  • Ability to translate classroom experience into consultative conversations with educators, understanding instructional needs and connecting them to solutions
  • Results-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with essential business applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and chat-based AI tools
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new products and processes
  • Comfort with decision-making, accountability and managing multiple priorities
  • Flexible thinking to pivot, adjust and strategize
  • Demonstrates integrity, ethical standards, and professionalism
  • A passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce (CRM) but not required
  • A combination of education and experience that proves competencies required for the role. Transferrable skills and/or relevant expertise is preferred
