Position Summary

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to become an integral part of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team at arenaflex. Address inquiries with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care while providing accurate information about medications, orders, and services.
  • Prescription Order Processing: Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and refill requests with precision and efficiency. This includes entering prescription information into the pharmacy information system, verifying patient details, and ensuring all data is accurate before fulfillment.
  • Benefits Verification and Authorization: Verify and re-verify insurance benefits for each patient and order. Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies as required, working diligently to minimize delays in therapy initiation.
  • Financial Coordination: Communicate copay amounts and other financial responsibilities to patients clearly and compassionately. Collect payments as needed and work with patients to address financial concerns or questions about coverage.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalation: Screen, identify, and resolve orders that present accounts receivable or clinical issues. Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to address complex cases and ensure timely resolution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, clinical teams, billing departments, and other internal partners to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and medication fulfillment.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions, order details, and resolution steps in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on specialty pharmacy protocols, insurance plan changes, medication updates, and industry trends to provide the most accurate and helpful service possible.

Required Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role where you successfully handled and resolved a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone.
  • Technical Proficiency: At least one year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms. Comfort with learning new software systems is essential.
  • Keyboarding Skills: One year of computer keyboarding experience with demonstrated skills and aptitude for accurate, efficient data entry.
  • Residency Requirement: Must reside in the state of Texas and have a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free home workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior healthcare experience, particularly in pharmacy, medical billing, insurance verification, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, insurance plans, prescription processing, and medical terminology.
  • Experience working with pharmacy information systems or electronic health records.
  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) are a plus, given the diverse patient population we serve.
  • Previous remote work experience with demonstrated self-discipline and productivity.

Education Requirements

  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) is required.
  • Additional coursework or certifications in healthcare, pharmacy technology, customer service, or related fields are welcomed but not required.
