[Remote] Inside Sales Representative (Varsity Performing Arts)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Varsity Spirit, a leader in the spirit industry for over 50 years, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. This role involves prospecting, building a sales pipeline, and closing sales while collaborating with the outside sales team to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, build a sales pipeline, and close sales for the outside sales team via outbound calling, email communications, social networks, and other direct marketing methods
  • Research accounts, identify key customers and generate interest in Varsity Spirit’s apparel, competition and training and education brands
  • Listen to a customer’s needs and present products based on customer knowledge, insight and intuition
  • Consistently log and record all outreach made in salesforce.com, producing regular activity reports as requested by the Inside Sales Manager
  • Qualify all sales leads and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate outside sales representatives for further development and closure
  • Follow up with each outside sales representative on qualified leads. Determine results and follow up appropriately to ensure the customer’s needs were met
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly phone and email communication goals as defined by the Inside Sales Manager
  • Maintain and expand a database of prospects within an assigned territory
  • Demonstrate a desire for team success by keeping an eye open for process improvement

  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • 1+ years sales experience (inside sales preferable)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Prolonged periods of sitting will all occur on a regular basis
  • Experience with Varsity's products and internal procedures
  • Experience with the following systems/applications: Salesforce.com (CRM), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
