Administrative Assistant: Special Populations - Washington Connections Academy

Oregon Connections Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality online education to students in grades K-12. They are seeking a highly organized Administrative Assistant to support daily operations, providing clerical and organizational support to staff, students, and families, while ensuring efficient systems and processes are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to school leadership and staff
  • Manage correspondence, emails, phone calls, and inquiries from families, students, and staff
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and electronic filing systems
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars
  • Support document preparation, data entry, reporting, and record management
  • Coordinate communication between departments and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and organize office workflows to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with applicable laws and policies
  • Assist with onboarding, tracking compliance documentation, and other administrative projects as assigned
  • Provide support for special education processes and documentation as needed

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and web-based applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members
  • Resident of the State of Washington
  • Experience working in a school, educational, or nonprofit setting
  • Knowledge of school systems, student records, and educational processes
  • Familiarity with special education programs, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with multilingual populations and supporting diverse communities
