Project Engineer I
AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer I in Tampa, FL. The role involves observing construction work, preparing change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, as well as advising project managers on any issues that arise during construction.
Responsibilities
- Observes construction work and prepares change orders as needed
- Researches and interprets contract requirements to determine whether construction work is performed in substantial compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions
- Advises internal project manager and/or owner of any failures or delays
- Reviews pay requests for ultimate payment by client
- Makes substantial completion and final completion statements
- Reviews shop drawings within area of expertise for conformance with design concept
- Performs other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
- May be assigned to unanticipated work locations throughout the United States
- Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
- One (1) year of experience in job offered or in a related occupation
- Academic training or work experience in AutoCAD
- Academic training or work experience in MS project management
- Academic training or work experience in Construction Materials and Processes
- Academic training or work experience in Quality Control / Field Inspection
- Academic training or work experience in Cost Analysis & Workflow Optimization
- Academic training or work experience in Primavera P6
- Academic training or work experience in Bluebeam
- Academic training or work experience in Project Scheduling & Planning
