Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Data Entry & Analytics Engineer to join the Environment & Operational Insights Group at arenaflex. This role can be performed on a part‑time or full‑time basis, allowing you to balance professional growth with personal priorities. You will partner closely with software engineers, product managers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, analytical tools, and visualizations that drive product reliability, operational health, and strategic decision‑making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end data models: Take full ownership of foundational data models, ensuring they are production‑ready, well‑documented, and continuously improved to meet evolving business needs.
- Design and maintain data pipelines: Build scalable pipelines that ingest, process, and transform large‑scale datasets—including user activity logs, content consumption events, and subscription metrics—using modern data engineering technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams: Work hand‑in‑hand with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle to embed data collection, logging, and reporting directly into product features.
- Develop analytical dashboards: Create intuitive, self‑service dashboards and automated reports (e.g., Tableau, Looker) that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
- Communicate insights: Present findings to senior leadership, product owners, and operational teams, turning raw numbers into narratives that influence product roadmaps and operational strategies.
- Drive data quality initiatives: Implement monitoring, validation, and alerting mechanisms to maintain high data fidelity and quickly surface anomalies.
- Mentor and share knowledge: Coach junior team members on best practices in data modeling, pipeline construction, and visualization techniques.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines and analytical solutions for large‑scale datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with data‑processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Presto.
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical inference and machine‑learning concepts to generate actionable business insights.
- Strong track record of designing intuitive schemas and data models that support both operational reporting and exploratory analysis.
- Experience with data‑visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and a solid eye for creating clear, compelling visual narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑starter attitude with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
- Familiarity with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) and real‑time analytics.
- Background in entertainment, media, or subscription‑based services, providing domain insight into content consumption patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practices (code reviews, automated testing, version control).
Core Skills & Competencies
- Analytical mindset: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
- Technical fluency: Comfort navigating the full data stack—from raw ingestion to polished dashboards.
- Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross‑functional teams, building consensus, and influencing without authority.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and industry trends as the data landscape evolves.
- Attention to detail: Commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility.

- A clear career ladder that can lead to senior data engineer, analytics manager, or product analytics lead roles.
- Cross‑team rotations that broaden exposure to product development, engineering operations, and business strategy.
