Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work effectively from any location within the United States, provided you hold a valid Physical Therapy license in Arizona. The role requires a dedicated home office setup with a reliable high-speed internet connection, ensuring uninterrupted communication and productivity. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM MST, providing a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers, ensuring that all patient care meets established clinical guidelines.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and strategies focused on improving healthcare affordability and utilization within the assigned regions.
  • Conduct outreach to healthcare providers whose treatment trends diverge from recognized standards, facilitating discussions that foster consistent and appropriate treatment methods.
  • Stay informed on regulatory requirements and manage utilization trends proactively while maintaining a keen focus on enhancing patient care quality and outcomes.
  • Implement innovative strategies aimed at increasing care effectiveness, thereby contributing to better health results for consumers.
  • Work across various health plan structures, including fully insured, Medicare, Medicaid, workers’ compensation, and auto liability, to address the diverse needs of individuals effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will primarily involve working with adults in orthopedic settings but may also encompass individuals with neurological conditions and geriatric clients. Your skillful assessment and management of these patient groups will contribute significantly to their recovery and health maintenance, ensuring positive health outcomes and quality of life improvements.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active and unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in Arizona.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an adult orthopedic environment, demonstrating expertise in patient evaluation and treatment.
  • Ability to interpret clinical guidelines and research within the context of traditional Physical Therapy practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach that fosters collaboration among clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams) to navigate and report on clinical data effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of practice guidelines, office procedures, and current industry research tailored to the scope of practice.
  • Access to a distraction-free workspace conducive to effective remote work.

Preferred Experience

  • At least three years of clinical experience in conducting case reviews.
  • A minimum of one year working with adult neuro and/or geriatric populations as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience in managed care environments, enhancing your understanding of health plan structures and their impact on patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $71,000 to $127,000, reflecting your experience, education, and relevant certifications.
