E Commerce Manual QA Test Engineer

E Commerce Manual QA Test Engineer Looking for a QA Engineer for a 6+ month contract opportunity to start with possible extensions or conversions to FTE of our client. This role is for one of our clients located in Southern Maine. Candidates can work remotely from home but will need to work EST and preference is to be located in the eastern half of the US. Leadership, QA engineering skills, mostly manual, and a minimum of 5 years of experience are required. E commerce testing is needed for this position. This role will be in support of high risk, high visibility projects. One 60-minute on-line screening test will be given to all candidates to take at their convenience. The test is QA overall skills. The test must be taken in one sitting – they cannot stop and restart. This is a remote only position. You will need to have reliable high-speed internet and our client will provide a VDI. The clients Developer Virtual Desktop Infrastructure allows for entitled users to access a virtual compute asset to complete tasks and processes relative to their role and responsibilities. You will need to have a laptop/desktop to log into their assigned VDI. You will install a VMware Horizon 7 compatible Client for Windows on their personal PC or one you provide once they are onboarded. This PC must have a currently supported operating system, which is regularly patched, and has updated commercial anti-malware software. To efficiently do the work, an additional monitor and a headset are required. Must Haves:

• Ability to translate requirements and software design into robust test cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including expert English-language skills.
• Strong analytical skills, able to research test results to determine causes of bugs
• Solid experience defining and documenting strategies for Integration, System and Performance testing.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work with project managers to manage resources across projects understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables.
• Ability to read and understand basic software code, stored and SQL.
• Experience with troubleshooting issues - interpreting stack traces, verifying data in logs, manipulating data, thinking outside the box to recreate issues, etc.
• Testing experience with web-based applications with preference to candidates who have experience testing on an e-commerce website or similar system
• Experience with web service and API testing.
• Ability to write and execute complicated SQL queries.
• Able to prepare and manage complex test data using SQL
• MS Office tools including Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized, process and detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Experience with Atlassian tools, specifically JIRA

• Experience with Cypress for JavaScript automation.
• Experience with Postman.
• Ecommerce testing experience
• Familiar with continuous development process
• Familiar with Kubernetes and google cloud
