As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the core of this ecosystem, transforming raw survey data into actionable insights that empower business leaders, product owners, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and the arenaflex technology team to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Data Platform Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines on the arenaflex data lake, leveraging Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, and Python to ingest, cleanse, and enrich VoC data.
• Model Architecture: Create and evolve data models that support advanced statistical analysis, real‑time dashboards, and predictive analytics for the VoC program.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize batch and streaming workloads to ensure high‑throughput, low‑latency processing while maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Automation & Tooling: Develop reusable automation scripts (Shell, Python, PySpark) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline data engineering tasks.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing frameworks, data validation checks, and monitoring alerts to guarantee the accuracy of analytical outputs.
• Cross‑Functional Leadership: Partner with arenaflex’s analytics, product, and engineering teams to prioritize use cases, define metrics, and deliver insights that drive business impact.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers, champion best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the data engineering community.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and PySpark.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data pipelines in a cloud or on‑premise environment.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with a track record of delivering incremental value in short sprints.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative mindset with a passion for solving challenging data problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with survey platforms and VoC analytics, preferably on the arenaflex survey solution.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of machine‑learning pipelines and statistical modeling.
• Previous experience in a financial services or fintech environment.
