Join arenaflex: Build Your Data Analytics Career from Home

Are you an analytically minded professional with a passion for transforming raw data into meaningful business insights? arenaflex is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Data Analytics Specialist to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to data-driven decision-making across the organization. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working with cross-functional teams, and leveraging data to uncover trends and opportunities, this role is the perfect launchpad for your career in healthcare data analytics.

At arenaflex, we believe that data is the foundation of smarter business decisions. Our team works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify discrepancies, develop innovative analytical methods, and deliver actionable insights that drive strategic outcomes. Whether you are analyzing payment variances, building automated reporting processes, or supporting compliance initiatives, your contributions will directly impact the quality and effectiveness of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Analytics Specialist at arenaflex, you will play an essential role in supporting analytical functions across the business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with record teams and contracting groups to identify and isolate variances resulting from overpayment or underpayment practices, ensuring these are factored into actual-to-expected results and forecasting models.
  • Developing timely, innovative, and objective analyses that lead to fact-based solutions for critical business challenges, supporting leadership in making informed strategic decisions.
  • Creating and implementing creative data visualization techniques to communicate data in meaningful and interpretable formats for audiences at all technical levels, from operational staff to executive leadership.
  • Designing and executing innovative analytical and statistical methodologies and supporting tools for evaluating organizational processes, business issues, and return on investment for products and services.
  • Supporting the development of automated processes to detect data and process integrity issues, providing leadership with detailed recommendations for problem resolution and identifying both upstream and downstream impacts of any identified issues.
  • Defining problem statements and hypothesis frameworks specific to the business environment, blending externally sourced data with internal insights to produce comprehensive analytical outputs.
  • Preparing standard and ad-hoc management reports and presentations using query-based tools for data mining and analytics to support ongoing projects and one-off requests.
  • Performing specific tasks identified in compliance monitoring systems, including evaluation of definitions, cost-increase support, and organizational identification.
  • Providing customer service to internal and external clients, meeting quality standards for services delivered and assessing customer satisfaction levels.
  • Working cross-functionally with peers in Sales, Finance, Legal, Contract Development, and Contract Operations to ensure alignment of analytics with business objectives.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following foundational qualifications and experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma/GED combined with at least three years of experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies and project plans that meet divisional goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external partners (business community, clients, and vendors) within a matrix organization to ensure quality service standards.
  • Proven ability to develop approaches for achieving goals with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment to resolve issues and recognizing when escalation is appropriate.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan, track details, and meet deadlines for multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues, along with the ability to recommend and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Solid experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, and using these insights to drive process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, cell merging, and printing layouts).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (including customizing animations, adjusting image styles, and configuring automatic slide timings).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (including creating macros, formatting table styles, inserting comments, and configuring mail merges).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, within and outside the home state.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give candidates a competitive edge:

  • Experience with data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, and data warehouse management.
  • Hands-on experience in a data warehouse, business intelligence, decision support systems environment, or related IT experience.
