Your Key Responsibilities

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, you will handle a diverse and engaging range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Transaction Processing Excellence: Accurately process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and a variety of checks including those related to IRAs, bankruptcies, and loan payoffs.
  • Check and Item Management: Review, analyze, and approve remote deposit submissions, mobile transactions, ATM entries, and other image-enabled products, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step.
  • Funds Transfer Coordination: Gather and verify member information for the timely and accurate processing of both domestic and international wire transfer requests. Research and validate incoming and outgoing transfer data and liaise with vendors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Regulatory Return Handling: Process stop payments, check returns, and batching duties. Investigate member-returned checks, draft changes, and confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, including Federal Reserve verification and release procedures.
  • Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily balancing, general ledger (GL) adjustments, account modifications, and department closing activities to maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with fraud resolution teams, accounting staff, and member services departments to address inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and maintain ledger accuracy.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Uphold strict compliance with NACHA regulations, Federal Banking laws, the Bank Secrecy Act, and all other relevant guidelines. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all member accounts and associated data.
  • Specialized Workflow Management: Complete daily processing of workflows tied to late returns, receipt delivery, foreign collections, and legal fees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Member Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact for members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and partner institutions, providing courteous and knowledgeable support at all times.
  • Continuous Improvement: Cross-train in various roles within the department, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and support enterprise needs as they arise.

What You Bring to the Table

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with the ability to navigate formulas, formatting, and data management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or member service experience in a financial services setting.
  • Hands-on experience in banking, credit unions, or related financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with Episys/Symitar core processing systems.
  • Prior experience processing wire transfers and managing payment workflows.
