Position Summary This is not just a job, but a business ownership opportunity for experienced finance professionals who want to lead as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Financial Controller in the cannabis industry. As a franchise owner, you will oversee all financial operations for your clients, provide strategic financial planning, and ensure compliance with the unique regulatory challenges in the cannabis sector. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning Guide the financial strategies of cannabis businesses, offering insights on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Compliance & Reporting Manage financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and cannabis-specific regulations, including navigating IRS Code 280E and state/federal tax laws.
• Risk Management Implement internal controls and mitigate financial and regulatory risks in this complex, evolving market.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management Ensure smooth cash flow and liquidity, while addressing banking limitations common to the cannabis industry.
• Investor Relations Act as the financial face of your clients' businesses, managing investor relationships, and supporting capital raising efforts.
• Team Leadership Build and lead finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and financial discipline within your client base.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is preferred.
• Experience 7-10 years of financial leadership experience (CFO, VP of Finance, Controller), with a preference for those with cannabis industry experience or other highly regulated sectors.
• Knowledge In-depth understanding of financial regulations related to cannabis, tax laws (including Section 280E), and cash flow management under regulatory constraints.
• Skills Strong strategic planning, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide business-critical financial insights.
