Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective online instruction in various mathematics courses, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus, and Statistics. Develop and prepare course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, tailored for online delivery. Facilitate student learning through active participation in online discussion forums, virtual office hours, and timely feedback on assignments. Grade student assignments, quizzes, and exams promptly and accurately, providing constructive feedback to support student progress. Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) effectively for course management, content delivery, and student communication. Respond to student inquiries and provide academic support in a timely and professional manner. Participate in faculty development activities and contribute to curriculum improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate student records and submit grades and other required reports by deadlines. Foster a positive and inclusive online learning community for all students.
Requirements
Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field. A Ph.D. is highly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the post-secondary level (college or university). Demonstrated experience and comfort teaching effectively in an online environment using an LMS. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple courses and student groups concurrently. Proficiency in relevant mathematical software and online collaboration tools.
