Mechanical Engineer for medium voltage switchgear
Visionary Power Solutions is seeking a motivated and dependable Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with Autodesk Inventor, knowledge of switchgear and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for medium voltage switchgear using Autodesk Inventor
- Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation for medium voltage switchgear
- Collaborate with team members to support project goals and timelines
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and performance requirements
- Apply industry standards and engineering best practices throughout the design process
- Troubleshoot and improve existing mechanical systems and processes
Qualifications
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Knowledge of switchgear, substations, or general electrical manufacturing
Preferred Skills
- Experience in product design or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, NEC standards
- Creative mind to design custom parts
