Role Overview – External Support Engineer (Remote, Entry Level)

We are looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented External Support Engineer to serve as the primary liaison between arenaflex’s external content creation partners and our internal tools engineering team. This is a remote, entry‑level position designed for candidates who are eager to launch a career in technical support, tooling, and production pipelines. You will help creators troubleshoot issues, develop documentation, and champion improvements that make our content‑creation workflow faster, more reliable, and more enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical First Line Support: Respond promptly to inquiries from external content teams regarding the use of arenaflex’s proprietary content tools, providing clear, step‑by‑step guidance.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain reference guides, video tutorials, and onboarding materials that enable partners to become self‑sufficient with the toolset.
  • Issue Diagnosis & Resolution: Reproduce, debug, and resolve tool‑related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Escalation Management: Log complex incidents in JIRA, collaborate with the tools development team, and track progress until resolution, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Advocacy & Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from external teams, translate it into actionable improvement requests, and champion these ideas within arenaflex’s engineering community.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to design enhancements that boost efficiency and quality.
  • Feature Development Support: Participate in cross‑disciplinary discussions, helping to shape new features from concept through delivery.
  • Professional Conduct: Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all communications, both internal and external.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting live services, tools, or platforms—internships, co‑ops, or personal projects are welcome.
  • Familiarity with Unity 3D, including basic scene setup, asset import, and script execution.
  • Working knowledge of C# code—ability to read, understand, and explain snippets to non‑technical partners.
  • Experience using issue‑tracking systems such as JIRA or Confluence, including ticket creation, status updates, and resolution documentation.
  • Exposure to mobile development environments for iOS and Android (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet tight production deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with external partners and cross‑functional teams.
