[Remote] Recruiter

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The AI Policy Network (AIPN) is hiring a Recruiter to help us scale. This role owns the front of our hiring funnel, sourcing candidates and managing the recruitment process to build a team focused on important AI policy issues.

Responsibilities

  • Run first-round phone screens across all open roles, assessing fit and flagging strong candidates for hiring managers
  • Source and engage candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Manage candidate pipelines and keep our applicant tracking organized, accurate, and up to date
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates, hiring managers, and senior staff
  • Draft and post job descriptions; keep the careers page and external listings current
  • Keep candidates informed at every stage and represent AIPN as a welcoming, professional first point of contact
  • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source quality) and report on them regularly

Skills

  • 1–3 years of recruiting, sourcing, or relevant coordination experience; in-house, agency, or campaign settings all welcome
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment in evaluating candidates over virtual interviews
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple searches at once without dropping details
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication; proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Interest in AI, technology policy, or national-security issues
  • Self-directed initiator with an upbeat, whatever-it-takes attitude
