Windows Analyst
Mizuho is a leading provider of corporate and investment banking services, and they are seeking a Windows Analyst to support Windows Server and Microsoft cloud services in a regulated financial environment. The role involves maintaining system availability, security controls, and improving operational processes through automation and AI-assisted tooling.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Windows servers and workstations
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and supporting applications
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repeatable tasks
- Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, intelligent monitoring platforms) for log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational insights
- Support the deployment of system updates, patches, and security fixes in accordance with change and maintenance windows
- Analyze and respond to system alerts and user-reported issues to minimize downtime and restore services
- Document system configurations, changes, and issue resolution details in accordance with company standards
- Participate in the evaluation and testing of new Windows-based technologies and tools
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and internal IT teams, as needed
Skills
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Willingness to learn and apply AI-assisted tools and complete ongoing professional development
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows Server and Windows 10/11
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Windows networking services
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
