[Remote] Swedish Transcriber

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Productive Playhouse is a global data company specializing in language and data services. They are seeking a Swedish Transcriber to support the development of talk-to-text technology by accurately transcribing audio files and adhering to client-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe a variety of files in accordance with client-specific Written Domain conventions (WDCs)
• Maintain a thorough understanding of each client’s guidelines, updating your knowledge as changes occur
• Produce high-quality, timely work for all assigned transcription projects
• Reference and apply current training materials and documentation as needed
• Identify and report technical issues or transcription concerns to the Division Services Manager
• Contribute ideas for improving workflows and transcription processes
• Participate in additional tasks or special projects as assigned

Skills

• Native-level (C2) proficiency in Swedish (sv_se), including the ability to read and write
• Excellent grammar/orthography and punctuation in Swedish. You will be required to take an assessment
• Have an Upwork profile, or be willing to create an Upwork profile
• High-speed internet access
• This project requires participants to have their own computer
• Access to e-mail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under tight time constraints
• Excellent internet research skills, including creative problem-solving techniques
• Professionalism in navigating feedback, ambiguity, and evolving client needs
• Proficient in both Mac and PC environments; skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Adaptability and openness to continuous learning and feedback
