Direct Sales Agent Specialist (1631) - Direct Auto
Direct Auto Insurance, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive new business sales and build customer relationships. This role involves attracting new customers and cross-selling existing insurance products, while working in a performance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales and understand customers’ needs to build rapport and trust
- Build and retain a book of business within the market/retail location
- Attract and generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers in support of product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance
- Sell to walk-in customers, market products outside of the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships
- Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base for product offerings
- Monitor key competitors in the local market area and suggest initiatives to improve the company’s position
- Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals
- Deliver optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
- Understand, promote, and remain current on company underwriting guidelines and changes in company policies and procedures
- Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify reports of receipts for cash drawers
Skills
- 0 – 2 years of experience
- P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company
- Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products
- Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross sell / retention of customers
- Leverages community contacts (natural market) to continually build a sales pipeline, as well as an active physical presence in your own community to build multiple centers of influence/referral sources (car dealerships, local events, community organizations, etc.)
- Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base for Product offerings
- Monitors key competitors in the local market area and makes suggestions on initiatives that could improve the company's position in the marketplace
- Works with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals
- Delivers optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, including compliance with all rules, procedures, and standards consistent with the manager's supervision
- Understands, promotes, and remains current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures
- Receives customer payments, issues receipt and verifies reports of receipts for cash drawers
