Actuary (Healthcare Economics)
Actuary - Healthcare Strategy / Cost Analytics (Remote) A leading health plan is expanding a strategy-focused analytics function and is seeking a credentialed actuary to join in a highly visible role! This position sits at the intersection of actuarial, clinical, and business teams, with a focus on analyzing cost drivers and identifying opportunities to improve financial and operational performance across the organization. You'll partner cross-functionally to evaluate programs, support strategic initiatives, and help shape enterprise decision-making. This is a less traditional actuarial role, offering the opportunity to move beyond core technical work and play a more direct role in influencing business outcomes. Key areas of focus:
- Cost and utilization trend analysis
- Evaluation of programs and performance drivers
- Financial modeling tied to business initiatives
- Cross-functional collaboration across clinical and operational teams
Ideal background:
- 5+ years of health actuarial experience
- ASA or FSA designation
- Exposure to care management, cost containment, pharmacy, or provider-facing analytics
