To lead this transformation, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst who is equal parts storyteller, technical expert, and strategic partner — someone who can dive deep into data, build elegant solutions, and inspire teams to act on what the numbers reveal.

Position Purpose

The Senior Data Analyst – Customer Experience will serve as a senior analytics expert on a balanced, cross-functional team responsible for one of arenaflex's most important CX initiatives. You will combine a deep understanding of customer behavior with advanced analytical techniques to identify opportunities, justify investment, and quantify impact. Your work will directly shape the experience of millions of customers and influence executive-level decisions.

You will be the undisputed data authority for your assigned initiative — knowing what data exists, how to connect it, and how to transform it into clear, compelling narratives that drive change. From architecting dashboards in Tableau to designing the next generation of the CX data platform, your fingerprints will be on the systems and insights that define how arenaflex listens to its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead data expert on a balanced CX team engaged in a high-priority initiative for arenaflex.
  • Combine business acumen and customer empathy with technical expertise to deliver sound, data-backed recommendations.
  • Conduct continuous discovery and exploratory data analysis to surface hidden patterns and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the data domain for your assigned initiative — mastering the available data, the appropriate join paths, and the best techniques to answer business questions.
  • Track the impact and benefits of CX actions by stitching together multiple data sources into unified performance narratives.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced SQL queries that power executive dashboards and operational reporting.
  • Create intuitive, high-impact front-end dashboards using Tableau and complementary visualization tools.
  • Contribute to the design of arenaflex's next-generation CX data platform, including data modeling and governance.
  • Develop base queries, documentation, and onboarding materials to help business teams self-serve from the new data source.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytics requests with speed, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Establish reporting standards, best practices, and a robust reporting framework that elevates the work of the entire team.
  • Lead data mining efforts to identify trends, anomalies, and predictive signals in customer data.
  • Develop programs, methodologies, and reusable assets for analyzing and presenting data at scale.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, UX designers, and end users to gather and refine requirements.
  • Perform data analysis, develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers, and produce automated reports.
  • Execute data cleansing and validation routines to ensure the integrity of every insight delivered.
  • Prepare data load scripts for large-scale ingestion from diverse source systems.
  • Leverage varied database applications and analytical tools to optimize performance and insight quality.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to systems, processes, and procedures that improve analytical maturity.

Essential Qualifications

  • At least seven (7) years of professional work experience, with a strong track record in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field of study related to the role (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Information Systems, or Business Analytics).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau or comparable BI tools.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical projects with clear deliverables.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four to six (4–6) years of progressive data analysis experience, ideally within customer experience, retail, e-commerce, or a similarly customer-centric environment.
  • One to two (1–2) years of experience in data management, process analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated success working with large, complex datasets and stitched data sources from multiple platforms.
  • Experience contributing to the design or build of a modern data platform, data lake, or data warehouse.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for advanced analytics and automation.
  • Exposure to customer journey analytics, voice of customer (VoC) programs, or sentiment analysis.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to a Senior Engineer or Senior Manager within the Customer Experience organization. The role may include indirect leadership responsibilities through mentorship and the establishment of team-wide analytical standards.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is expected — typically less than 10% of the time, with overnight travel being infrequent.

Physical Requirements

Most of the workday is spent in a seated, comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, light lifting or movement of small articles may be required.
