QA Engineer - III
Title: QA Engineer - III Location: Remote Duration: 12+ months contract Compensation: $55.00 - $62.00/hr Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. QA Engineer - III We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help us build and maintain a world-class quality engineering practice across our mobile and API product surfaces. You'll partner closely with engineering, product, and platform teams to drive test coverage, automation maturity, and quality confidence across our Atlas mobile app and backend integration layers. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for mobile (iOS/Android) and API integration layers using Appium and Playwright/Selenium
- Perform rigorous functional and manual testing across complex B2B and B2C eCommerce workflows
- Build and own robust mobile test automation frameworks using Appium with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Champion quality standards across the full software development lifecycle
- Manage test planning, execution, and defect tracking in JIRA and related test management tooling
- Partner with product and platform teams to define test strategies for new features and integrations
- Identify gaps in test coverage and drive continuous improvement across functional, regression, and integration testing
- Contribute to a quality-first culture where engineers take pride in shipping with confidence
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on automation
- Strong hands-on experience with functional manual testing and structured test case design
- Proven experience in mobile and API integration testing
- Prior experience working in eCommerce environments, both B2B and B2C
- Solid proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Test Automation using Appium in production environments
- Experience with web automation frameworks including Selenium and/or Playwright
- Proficient with JIRA for test management, defect tracking, and sprint planning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Nice-to-Have
Skills:
- Experience with device lab and cloud testing platforms such as Headspin, Sauce Labs, or BrowserStack
- Familiarity with Agentic AI tooling such as Anthropic Claude or similar AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage analysis
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- A demonstrated track record of driving quality improvements in fast-moving mobile or eCommerce environments
