About the position The Consumer and Small Business Loan Processor II collaborates with Financial Solutions Guides, members, underwriters, and vendors to process and prepare consumer and small business loans for closing. This role ensures all underwriting conditions are met, verifies borrower information, prepares necessary documents, and coordinates loan closings. Additionally, the processor handles the processing of all Consumer and Small Business loan types using Meridian Link, Synapsys, and Symitar while continually demonstrating a superior approach to service as they engage internal and external members over the phone, email, and chat.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains and verifies borrower information and documentation
  • Verifies that underwriting conditions and/or stipulations are met
  • Prepares loan packages for closing in person as well as electronically; coordinates settlement dates and disburses funds
  • Begin learning and training on how to perfect auto liens.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payment processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and member satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1 year of Loan Processing or Consumer Lending experience in a financial service institution or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Data entry, ten key by touch, Word, Excel, Internet
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
