Why This Role Matters

As a Chief Business Counseling – Data Integration & Analytics within the Income Uprightness COE (Center of Excellence) at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our data‑driven transformation. You will lead initiatives that extract, cleanse, and consolidate electronic health record (EHR) data, ensuring that critical information flows seamlessly to downstream analytics, reporting, and decision‑support platforms. Your work will directly influence the quality of care, operational efficiency, and financial performance for millions of patients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to external vendors, consultants, and cross‑functional teams to support ACA IFP Change Income Trust initiatives.
  • Oversee the extraction, coding, and aggregation of clinical data from diverse sources, identifying gaps and driving process improvements to boost productivity.
  • Act as the business lead for system design, testing new functionalities, and evaluating vendor‑driven data‑coding projects.
  • Drive change management activities related to system upgrades and architecture fixes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Understand and manage inter‑dependencies across multiple projects and timelines to align with broader business objectives.
  • Leverage analytical expertise to turn raw data into meaningful business intelligence that supports strategic decision‑making.
  • Maintain collaboration across shared services and vendors to guarantee data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Document and communicate findings in both written reports and verbal presentations for senior leadership.
  • Conduct periodic updates of technical roadmaps and departmental architecture frameworks.
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions to address emerging business needs and technology trends.
  • Support 1M IFP users by rigorously managing vendor data quality, ensuring accurate data ingestion, and resolving approval errors promptly.
  • Analyze advanced recovery metrics to improve outcomes and redesign ACA reporting perspectives for daily operational tasks.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with the full IT application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, Python, and SQL Server for data analysis and validation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and influence strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in documenting business processes and recommending/implementing improvement strategies.
  • Ability to develop and execute testing plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Participation in system design discussions and architecture reviews.
  • Capability to validate data accuracy against source records, reports, and data sets.
  • Proficiency in conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Health Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a regulated health‑care environment (HIPAA, HITECH) and familiarity with compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CCD.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile Scrum Master) or demonstrated project leadership.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehousing solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing cross‑functional teams.
