Position Summary

The Payments Analyst – Data Entry & Financial Insights role is a remote, full‑time position that supports the administration of key seller relationships, conducts monthly and quarterly business audits, and drives data‑driven decision making for the Payments Division. Reporting to the Senior Director of Installments, you will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders, analyze financial data, and help shape strategic initiatives that enhance payment processing efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month‑to‑month and quarterly business audits with installment card organizations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.
  • Gather, cleanse, and analyze data for senior leadership presentations, translating complex metrics into clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with finance, risk, and technology partners to identify process improvements and support the implementation of automated reporting solutions.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment processing, fraud detection, and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual confidential Mastercard (now arenaflex) budget for all product lines and business units.
  • Lead financial forecasting activities, providing recommendations that influence strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Design and execute detailed project plans for medium‑scale initiatives, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables exceed quality standards.
  • Provide project support and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous learning.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc requests from senior leadership, delivering high‑quality analyses under tight deadlines.
  • Continuously develop new skill sets to meet evolving business needs within the Installments Group and the broader Financial Services Division.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in financial services, preferably within payment processing or installment financing.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with a track record of solving complex business problems.
  • Proficiency in arenaflex Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Experience creating compelling presentations using arenaflex PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of payment industry regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, EMV).
  • Project management experience, including the ability to lead medium‑scale initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high quality standards.
