Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Operations
Description:
- Design, build, and maintain resilient, secure, and highly available infrastructure for all SaaS and hosted services on GCP to meet established SLAs.
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Automate deployment pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and incident response using modern CI/CD and GitOps practices.
- Monitor site stability and performance using GCP observability tools and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
- Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand using autoscaling, load balancing, and cost-optimization best practices.
- Own end-to-end operational responsibility for customer-facing SaaS and hosted environments, including availability, performance, and change management.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, IT, Services, and other teams to manage requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production using containerized, Kubernetes-native deployment patterns.
- Develop and improve operational practices, runbooks, and procedures.
- Proactively meet information security and compliance standards such as ISO, SOX, and SSAE 16.
Requirements:
- Hands-on Google Cloud Platform expertise, including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring/Logging.
- Deep Kubernetes expertise with experience deploying and operating production clusters at scale.
- Experience with control plane management, multi-cluster networking, RBAC, and Helm chart authoring.
- Cloud and networking expertise in VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing, PSC, private connectivity, DNS, TLS, service mesh, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud security controls such as CMEK encryption, secrets management, and audit logging.
- CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, GitOps, ArgoCD, or equivalent tools.
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go, plus infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
- Experience supporting Java/J2EE applications in production, including deployments, JVM tuning, and debugging.
- Proven ability to establish process, influence cross-functionally, and operate independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

- Base salary range of $135,800 to $168,000 USD.
