Role Overview – Remote Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Remote Data Entry Specialist to join the Data Engineering team within arenaflex’s DSI organization. This full‑time, home‑based position offers a competitive rate of $27 per hour and provides the opportunity to work on high‑impact data pipelines that power analytics, machine‑learning models, and reporting solutions across the company’s diverse product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data product owners, analysts, and engineers to gather and document detailed data requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL (Snowflake & PostgreSQL), Python, and orchestration tools.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and audit trails to ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline.
• Build and manage data models, tables, and views that support downstream analytics and predictive‑modeling initiatives.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and proactively optimize for scalability and cost‑efficiency.
• Maintain version‑controlled code repositories in GitLab/GitHub and follow CI/CD best practices.
• Develop and schedule automated workflows using tools such as Airflow or similar orchestrators.
• Document technical designs, data dictionaries, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing across the team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve delivery processes.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience building and supporting ELT/ETL pipelines in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Strong command of SQL, preferably with Snowflake; experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and basic DevOps concepts.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated job schedulers (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
• Solid understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.

Preferred Qualifications & Differentiators

• Experience working with large‑scale datasets (terabytes to petabytes) and cloud‑native data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
