Compensation: a competitive salary   Job title: The UPS Store Full Time Center Associate Company: The UPS Store #6259 Job description: The Center Associate delivers excellent customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
- COMPENSATION
- Â $15 - $16 per hour, Accrued Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Incentive Bonuses, Daytime Hours
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Â Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Â Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Â Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Â Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Â Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Â Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Â Completes tasks independently in a quick turn environment
- Â Is available to work 40 hours per week for assigned shifts weekdays during the hours of 8am-6:30pm, Saturdays 9am-3pm, and Sundays 10:00am-3:00pm
- Â Performs other duties as assigned
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Â High school diploma or GED required
- Â Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suitesble
- Â Outstanding phone skills
- Â Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
- Â Prompt, reliable, and responsible with good work ethic
- Â Able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and high quality control
- Â Able to have a strong sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
- Â Able to lift 40+ pounds
