Job Description

A Senior Business Analyst is required to support the redevelopment of a large-scale public sector website. The role will sit within a cross-functional project team and support delivery across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to content migration and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a core resource across all project phases including discovery, requirements gathering, design and delivery Conduct business requirements analysis and translate outcomes into clear documentation and user stories Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions across multiple business units Liaise between business stakeholders and digital/technology teams to ensure alignment and compliance with ICT protocols Review existing digital assets including: Website structures (site maps) Content repositories and archives Analytics and usage data Develop and maintain: User stories and acceptance criteria Content inventory and content mapping High-level design inputs and recommendations Support content-related activities: Content elicitation and classification Identification of content for migration Mapping of dependencies and critical linkages Preparation of content for migration Coordinate and document: Development plans (including timelines for build, testing and rollout) Content lifecycle management processes Standard operating procedures for content publishing Ensure all digital outputs adhere to: Accessibility standards (minimum WCAG 2.2 AA) W3C guidelines Internal governance and compliance requirements Coordinate testing activities and validate against agreed test plans Support user testing and feedback cycles Attend and contribute to project governance and team meetings

Key Deliverables Workshop facilitation and outputs Business requirements documentation Proposed site map / information architecture Detailed content inventory and page-level mapping Development and delivery plan Testing coordination and validation outputs Content migration plan Standard procedures documentation for ongoing content management Skills & Experience Required Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst on digital / web transformation projects Proven track record in: Requirements gathering and stakeholder management Workshop facilitation and business engagement User story creation and backlog management Experience working on: Website redevelopment or CMS implementation projects Content-heavy digital platforms Public sector or highly governed environments (desirable) Strong understanding of: Content lifecycle management Website structure, IA and UX principles Accessibility standards (WCAG) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work across both business and technical teams Additional Information Why Version 1?
