We're looking for a highly skilled L3 Systems Engineer to join our Connecticut team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an MSP environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and wants to work across modern cloud, security, and on-prem environments. Role Overview The L3 Microsoft Systems Engineer will be responsible for: Designing, implementing, migrating, and supporting Microsoft Server and Microsoft 365 environments Delivering infrastructure, disaster recovery, and security projects Providing advanced technical and escalation support Working directly with customers to resolve issues and improve their IT environments You will operate across both project delivery and advanced support in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure, Cloud & Projects Plan and execute projects including server deployments and migrations Exchange / Microsoft 365 migrations Azure and hybrid infrastructure implementations Design, implement, and manage: Disaster Recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam, SaaS backup, BDR) Azure / O365 environments Cybersecurity best-practice standards Act as Project Lead or Technical Lead on: ERP migrations and implementations MSP platform deployments and standardization initiatives MSP Platforms & Tools Implement and manage MSP platforms including: ConnectWise Manage, Automate, ScreenConnect, Sell IT Glue, Keeper Security, DNSFilter, DUO, Mimecast, SentinelOne, Datto, Verkada, Unifi Assist in standardizing and optimizing client environments across the Netsurit stack Support & Operations Provide L2/L3 escalation support for servers, Microsoft 365, networks, endpoints, and security platforms Diagnose and resolve issues via phone, email, and ticketing system Track and manage support requests according to SLA and ITIL practices Maintain technical documentation and system records Networking & Systems Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and connectivity Support DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email deliverability Plan and implement patch management and application deployments Participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule Required Skills & Experience 3+ years in a technical support or systems engineering role (5+ years preferred) Recent hands-on experience with: Microsoft 365 / Exchange migrations Disaster recovery and backup solutions (Datto, Veeam) Firewalls and email security solutions Strong experience with: Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure PC/laptop deployment and troubleshooting Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) Proven ability to design and implement infrastructure solutions Experience working across multiple industries Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing skills
