Fuse Finance - Sr. Product Engineer

Fuse Finance TL;DR — We're looking for exceptional Product Engineers to help build the operating system for modern lending. You'll work across our entire stack to ship features that empower the next generation of credit unions, lenders, and the people they serve. Why Fuse? What We're Looking For

• 5+ years building and owning end-to-end products in product-driven environments. You’ve led product outcomes — not just shipped isolated features or closed tickets.
• Product judgment. You make calls on what to build (and what not to). You read users, metrics, and context, and ship things you'd be proud to use yourself.
• Design sensibility. You care about how things look and feel. You don't ship ugly or confusing interfaces because "design will fix it later." You have taste.
• Outcome ownership. You don't close tickets, you own results. If a feature didn't move the needle, you iterate without being asked.
• Bias to ship. You prototype, launch, measure, and adjust. Less planning, more iteration.
• Technical depth. Fluent in modern frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Node.js, NestJS), with deep PostgreSQL, schema design, query performance, complex business logic.
• AI-native by default. You use AI as part of your core development workflow, not as an accessory. You think in systems, prompts, scaffolds, and agentic workflows to accelerate execution and decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Own the product roadmap and execution flow, from prioritization and scoping to Linear setup, delivery coordination, and product outcomes.
• Implement and maintain features across the full stack: frontend, backend, infrastructure & QA.
• Own systems end-to-end: architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Architect and optimize RESTful APIs and scalable services with NestJS and PostgreSQL.
• Build dynamic, server-rendered interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Model complex lending workflows: underwriting, decisioning, integrations with credit bureaus and core banking, and more.
• Often own the full UX of a feature, not just its implementation. Design and Product partners exist to amplify you on harder problems, not to hand off specs.
• Use AI as your primary leverage, to explore architectures, scaffold prototypes, generate UI options, write tests, and review your own work before a human does.
• Help shape our technical direction, engineering culture, and product strategy.
