Overnight Dispatch Coordinator (Remote) Mobile Outreach Program | Cumberland County, ME | Full-Time, Overnight (Awake Shift) Make a Difference—From Wherever You Are The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a remote, overnight Dispatch Coordinator to support our Cumberland County Crisis Response (CCCR) Mobile Outreach team. In this role, you’ll serve as the critical connection point overnight, helping individuals in crisis access timely care while ensuring Mobile Crisis teams are effectively coordinated. If you’re someone who stays calm, focused, and compassionate during high-pressure moments, this is a meaningful opportunity to make an impact—all from a remote setting. What You’ll Do As an Overnight Dispatch Coordinator, you’ll be at the center of crisis response—coordinating calls, supporting individuals, and guiding next steps in real time. Key responsibilities include: Receive and coordinate incoming crisis calls from the Maine Crisis Line Assess and gather key information to prioritize needs and dispatch Mobile Crisis Teams Provide real-time phone support to individuals, families, and community providers awaiting assessment Offer crisis intervention, safety planning, and emotional support remotely Coordinate with Mobile Crisis staff, community providers, and supports to ensure timely response and follow-up Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation during overnight shifts Support program operations through:Documentation and compliance review Workflow coordination and communication across shifts Tracking key information for handoff to daytime teams Why This Role Stands Out 100% Remote Work during scheduled overnight shifts (office availability if preferred) Play a vital role in after-hours crisis response, when support is often hardest to access Be the steady, reassuring presence for individuals in urgent situations Join a collaborative, mission-driven team doing meaningful work every day (and night) Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, 40 hours/week Awake overnight schedule (exact hours determined by program needs) Fully remote work, with required availability for all scheduled overnight hours Must have reliable internet and a private, professional workspace What We’re Looking For Required: Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in crisis or human services work Experience may include: crisis services, residential care, case management, CPS, warm lines, special education, or developmental disability services (including internships/volunteer roles) Ability to obtain MHRT/CSP certification within 30 days (training provided) Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to think critically, triage effectively, and remain composed under pressure Comfort working independently overnight while staying connected to a team Preferred: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field 2–3+ years of relevant experience Familiarity with DSM and crisis response protocols Strong technical skills and experience with electronic documentation systems Additional Requirements Availability for consistent overnight (awake) shifts, including some weekends/holidays Commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care Ability to collaborate across teams and systems in a fully remote environment Successful completion of required background checks Who You Are You’re someone who: Thrives during overnight hours and can stay engaged and responsive throughout your shift Brings calm, clarity, and compassion to intense situations Works well independently while staying connected to a broader team Communicates clearly and makes sound, timely decisions Is motivated by helping people through some of their most difficult moments Join Us At The Opportunity Alliance, you’ll be part of a team that meets people where they are—day or night.
