Senior Staff Accountant

Job Description

A Day in the Life Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Prepare and review internal financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for leadership. Ensure accurate and organized financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Perform account analysis, investigate discrepancies, and implement solutions to maintain data integrity across accounting and reporting systems. Manage documentation for annual financial reviews or audits conducted by external accounting firms. Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to support cross-functional reporting, provide insights, and improve decision-making. Lead or participate in special projects, including process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements. Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on accounting best practices and compliance. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4–7 years of accounting or financial reporting experience (public accounting or SaaS industry experience preferred). Strong understanding of GAAP, with solid exposure to revenue recognition (ASC 606), internal controls, and audit processes. Demonstrated experience leading month-end close and preparing financial statements independently. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, reporting tools). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and close management/reconciliation tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence business partners. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
