Viktor is the AI coworker. It lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does real work for real companies: finance, marketing, ops, engineering. We're building the product that replaces half the SaaS stack with a single teammate. The team is small. The scope is not. The Short Version Viktor reaches hundreds of thousands of the right people every week through newsletters, and that channel is already one of our best engines. Your job is to own it end to end and make it bigger. You run every newsletter partnership we have, from sourcing and negotiating to scheduling, tracking, and squeezing more out of every dollar. And you're the editor behind it: the copy, the angles, the creative, the voice. When a placement lands in someone's inbox, the words are yours, and they're good enough that people click. You own the channel and the craft. What's Actually Going On Here Newsletter sponsorships have quietly become one of Viktor's highest-leverage channels: six figures a quarter and climbing, across the biggest names in tech and AI media. Right now it's run between a few people who all have other jobs, with Viktor doing the execution. What's missing is one owner: someone who holds the partner relationships, decides where we spend, writes copy that actually converts, and treats the whole channel like a product they're responsible for growing. First dedicated hire for this. No team above you, no playbook to inherit. You decide what this function becomes. What You'll Actually Do

  • Own every newsletter partnership. Source new ones, negotiate the deals, manage the relationships, lock the schedule, and keep the whole roster organized. You're the single point of contact and the single owner of the channel.
  • Be the editor. Write the copy for every placement, set the angle, own the voice. You're the bar for whether a piece of creative is good enough to ship under Viktor's name: in newsletters first, and across the brand over time.
  • Brief and direct the creative. You don't have to design it yourself, but you own the brief, the references, and the final call. You work with designers and freelancers to turn an angle into an asset that lands.
  • Run the numbers. Track what every partner and every placement actually returns: clicks, signups, paid conversions, cost per acquisition. Double down on what works, cut what doesn't, and report it cleanly. You decide where the budget goes based on what the data says.
  • Protect the brand. Keep Viktor's voice, claims, and proof points consistent and true everywhere they show up. You're the person who makes sure we sound like one company, and a sharp one.

The Bar This role is judged on a channel that compounds, not placements shipped. “I ran the campaigns on schedule” isn't the bar. “The newsletter channel returns more every quarter, the copy converts better than anything we ran before, and the brand sounds sharper everywhere it appears” is. How You'll Know It's Working

  • 30 days. You own every active partnership and the full schedule, the copy for upcoming placements is running through you, and you've shipped your first ads that beat our baseline.
  • 60 days. You've signed at least one strong new partner, you've got a clear read on which placements actually pay back, and you're steering budget toward them. The creative is noticeably tighter than what we ran before.
  • 90 days. The channel is bigger, cleaner, and more profitable than when you got it. Partners want to work with us, the copy is a real edge, and the brand voice is consistent everywhere Viktor shows up.

Who You Are

  • You've run paid media partnerships or brand marketing before, ideally newsletters, sponsorships, or media buys at a B2B SaaS, AI, or dev-tools company, and you can show what you grew.
  • A genuinely strong writer. This is half the job. You write copy that stops the scroll and gets the click, you find the angle other people miss, and you have the taste to know when something is good enough to ship.
  • An operator who likes the deal side. You're comfortable sourcing partners, negotiating rates, and managing relationships, and you keep the schedule, the budget, and the tracking clean without being told.
  • Numbers-driven. You read performance data fluently and let it decide where the money goes. You can tell the difference between a placement that feels good and one that pays back.
  • Technically curious. You can hold your own with technical users, understand what Viktor actually does, and write about it credibly. AI-native: you use tools like Claude or Viktor in your daily work, and you'll use Viktor to run your own job.
  • Comfortable in chaos. Small team, full ownership, no playbook. You decide and move.

Even Better If

  • You've owned a newsletter sponsorship or media program and have the relationships and the receipts.
  • You've written ad or email copy that you can point to and prove converted.
  • You've owned a brand voice or style guide across multiple surfaces.
  • You've worked with technical buyers and builders (devs, ops, marketers).

  • The work is public and measurable. It goes out under Viktor's name, and you can see exactly what it returned. Your wins show up in the numbers the week they happen.

We don't do alignment meetings or stakeholder syncs. We build things, see if they work, and iterate. Everyone here owns something real. Not a task. A surface of the company that customers depend on. When it breaks, you fix it. When it wins, everyone knows whose work it was. We use Viktor to build Viktor. You'll see what you're working on in action every day. Why Viktor This is a rare window. The product works. The market is pulling. The team is small enough that what you do next week will be live in production next week. That doesn't last forever. Right now, it's still true.

Compensation
