Working closely with our colleagues at Bad Robot Productions, our projects unite our extensive network of games, TV, and film industry talent to create original IPs, expansive worlds and tell new stories across all media platforms which are as fun to watch as they are to play. ----- Bad Robot Games is looking for a Senior Online Engineer who is an expert at implementing multiplayer online services. Come help us on our first major title! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own and implement our multiplayer online systems using Unreal 5 Communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure the right services are implemented and optimized Utilize your network experience to run multiple online services, including but not limited to socials, matchmaking, and everything in between Optimize networks for performance, bandwidth, and memory Manage database structures and functionality KEY QUALIFICATIONS Shipped at least 1 major online multiplayer title 3+ years of experience with Unreal, Unity, or proprietary AAA engines 5+ years of experience with C++ in a professional environment Experience with Pragma, AccelByte, Playfab or other similar platforms Experience with Java, Kotlin, or other JVM languages Experience with databases All of our roles require up to 10% air travel. Examples include Studio/Team Offsites, Team/Studio Events, etc. BONUSES Experience with Analytics and logging (Looker, Honeycomb, Druid) Experience with Build systems (Buildkite, Jenkins) Experience integrating with and stubbing out UI in Unreal MVVM or equivalent system.
