Role Overview

The Customer Insights & CDP Strategy Consultant will partner with clients to design, implement, and optimize Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) that unify disparate data sources, enrich customer profiles, and deliver actionable insights. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding organizations through the entire analytics lifecycle—from data ingestion and cleansing to visualization and strategic recommendation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, sales, product, IT) to define business objectives and translate them into data‑driven solutions.
  • Design and configure CDP architectures that integrate CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), ERP platforms, web analytics, and third‑party data sources.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets using SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools, ensuring data quality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Develop advanced analytical models—segmentation, propensity scoring, churn prediction—to uncover hidden patterns and forecast customer behavior.
  • Create compelling dashboards and interactive visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker that communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to empower client teams in interpreting data, making data‑driven decisions, and maintaining CDP solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in customer analytics, data governance, and digital marketing.
  • Document project deliverables, methodologies, and success metrics; provide post‑implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Essential Qualifications (3 – 6 Years Experience Required)

  • Data Analysis & Statistics: Proven ability to collect, process, and analyze large datasets; strong grasp of statistical concepts and experience with tools such as R, SPSS, or SAS.
  • SQL Proficiency: Demonstrated skill in writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Hands‑on experience building dashboards in Power BI, with a focus on storytelling and user‑centric design.
  • CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable CRM platforms, including data models and integration points.
  • Customer Insights Background: Prior experience in roles centered on customer analytics, market research, or business intelligence.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to business audiences, write clear documentation, and present findings confidently.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience implementing or managing Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Segment, Tealium, Adobe Real‑time CDP).
  • Knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Google BigQuery) and data‑lake concepts.
  • Familiarity with machine‑learning frameworks (Python, scikit‑learn) for predictive modeling.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, Salesforce, or related analytics tools.
  • Project management experience, preferably with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
