Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Experience Engineer to join arenaflex’s CX team. In this role, you will partner with customers to validate complex, customer‑specific network designs, drive adoption of emerging technologies, and ensure seamless deployment of solutions across enterprise, service‑provider, and data‑center environments. You will leverage advanced lab facilities, automation frameworks, and deep technical expertise to help our clients meet dynamic business requirements while building a distinguished reputation for quality and reliability.

Your Impact

  • Domain Expertise: Lead the validation of customer designs, platforms, software releases, and migration paths (upgrades/downgrades) across multiple technology domains.
  • Test Development: Collaborate with customers to define comprehensive test requirements, craft detailed test cases, and align validation criteria with business objectives.
  • Lab Setup & Emulation: Build realistic lab environments that emulate customer networks using high‑end traffic generators, ensuring accurate performance and scalability assessments.
  • Automation & Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test suites using the ROBOT framework, Python, and related tools; capture results, analyze data, and produce actionable reports.
  • Issue Resolution: Partner with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues, drive root‑cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Standards Compliance: Enforce arenaflex’s Service Validation Standards (SVS) and continuously improve automation to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, contribute to renewal discussions, and support strategic initiatives that expand arenaflex’s footprint within existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical liaison between arenaflex and customers, translating business needs into detailed validation plans.
  • Design and configure lab topologies that replicate real‑world customer environments, incorporating routers, switches, firewalls, SD‑WAN controllers, and other relevant components.
  • Develop reusable automation scripts (Robot Framework, Python, Ansible, Terraform) to streamline test execution and reporting.
  • Execute functional, performance, and stress tests; document findings, generate comprehensive validation reports, and present results to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of emerging networking technologies (SD‑WAN, SDA, ACI, NFV, etc.) and proactively recommend enhancements to customers.
  • Provide expert guidance during proof‑of‑concept (PoC) engagements, helping customers evaluate solution fit and ROI.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and support teams to feed validation insights back into product roadmaps.
  • Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to the development of internal knowledge bases.
  • Participate in industry forums, webinars, and conferences to showcase arenaflex’s capabilities and build thought leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional certifications equivalent to at least two CCNP‑level credentials (Enterprise, Data Center, or Service Provider preferred).
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge in at least two of the following technology areas: Software‑Defined Access (SDA), SD‑WAN, Routing & Switching (R&S), Data Center (DC), Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), or Service Provider (SP) networking.
  • Strong consultancy skills with a proven track record of effective communication, stakeholder management, and customer‑focused problem solving.
  • Hands‑on experience with high‑end traffic generators (e.g., Ixia, Spirent) and the ability to design realistic traffic patterns.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, security fundamentals, and virtualization technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE certification (Enterprise track preferred) demonstrating expert‑level mastery of networking concepts.
  • Direct experience designing, building, and deploying large‑scale enterprise or service‑provider networks.
  • Proficiency with network testing and validation tools, including Ixia, Spirent, or equivalent platforms.
  • Advanced scripting abilities in Robot Framework, Python, or similar languages; familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible or Terraform is a plus.
  • Exposure to both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies, with the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Project management experience, including planning, risk mitigation, and status reporting.
