About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading provider of event staffing solutions, delivering unforgettable guest experiences at collegiate, professional, and community sporting events across the United States. With a reputation built on reliability, enthusiasm, and a deep respect for fans, arenaflex partners with venues, teams, and entertainment promoters to create safe, vibrant, and memorable atmospheres. Our mission is simple: every guest matters, and every interaction counts. As a member of the arenaflex team, you become part of a dynamic network that values teamwork, personal growth, and the excitement of live events.

Why This Role Matters

Live events are more than just games—they are shared moments that bring communities together. As a Customer Service Event Staff member, you are the front‑line ambassador who ensures that each attendee feels welcomed, informed, and cared for from the moment they step through the doors until they leave. Your role directly influences fan satisfaction, venue safety, and the overall success of each event. Whether you are guiding families to their seats, scanning tickets with precision, or answering spontaneous questions, you help shape the narrative of the day’s experience.

Position Overview

This is a seasonal, part‑time opportunity, with shifts primarily scheduled between August and March. You will work at arenaflex’s partner venue in Dallas and may also be assigned to additional events throughout the Dallas metropolitan area through arenaflex’s extensive network of partners. The role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments, love interacting with diverse crowds, and are eager to gain hands‑on experience in customer service, event operations, and sports management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Greeting & Direction: Warmly welcome every guest, provide clear directions to seating areas, restrooms, concessions, and other venue amenities.
  • Ticket Scanning & Validation: Accurately scan tickets using handheld devices, verify credentials, and resolve any discrepancies with professionalism.
  • Ushering & Seat Management: Assist guests in locating their seats, manage crowd flow, and ensure compliance with venue policies.
  • Information Provision: Answer guest inquiries about event schedules, parking, accessibility services, and local attractions.
  • Safety & Security Support: Monitor aisles and entry points for potential hazards, report incidents promptly, and assist security personnel as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with fellow staff members, supervisors, and venue management to maintain a seamless operation.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather guest feedback, note recurring concerns, and relay insights to arenaflex’s operations team for continuous improvement.
  • Post‑Event Duties: Participate in end‑of‑day debriefs, assist with equipment check‑in/out, and ensure the venue is left clean and orderly.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; additional education or coursework in hospitality, communications, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, friendly, and courteous speaking style.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules demand.
  • Demonstrated reliability—punctual attendance and a commitment to completing scheduled shifts.
  • Basic proficiency with handheld ticket‑scanning devices or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities; capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, or live events, with an eagerness to share that enthusiasm with guests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or event staffing.
  • Familiarity with the Dallas sports and entertainment scene, including local venues and fan culture.
  • Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to better serve a diverse audience.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, or basic crowd‑control training.
  • Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) or ticketing software platforms.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Clear articulation, active listening, and the ability to convey information succinctly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help guests feel valued.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate ticket scanning, precise seat assignments, and meticulous observation of safety protocols.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset, willingness to support colleagues, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Physical Stamina: Endurance to navigate large venues, manage crowds, and maintain energy throughout long shifts.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfort with mobile devices, scanners, and basic software interfaces.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

  • Customer Experience Specialist positions, focusing on strategic guest satisfaction initiatives and data‑driven improvements.
  • Full‑time opportunities in arena management, marketing, or sales within arenaflex’s national network.

Throughout your tenure, you will receive on‑the‑job training, access to online learning modules, and mentorship from seasoned event professionals.
