With a network of stores across the nation, arenaflex is committed to delivering high‑quality products, innovative health and wellness solutions, and a welcoming environment where every customer feels valued. Our mission is to empower communities by providing reliable, friendly, and efficient service every time a guest walks through our doors. As a member of the arenaflex family, you will be part of a dynamic team that champions excellence, embraces diversity, and continuously invests in the growth of its people.

Why This Role Matters

The Customer Service Associate position is the heartbeat of every arenaflex store. You are the first point of contact, the problem‑solver, and the brand ambassador who ensures that each interaction leaves a lasting, positive impression. By modeling and delivering a distinctive, delightful customer experience, you help drive sales, foster loyalty, and uphold the high standards that set arenaflex apart in a competitive retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Guest Engagement

  • Warmly greet every guest, offering assistance with products, services, and store navigation.
  • Listen actively to customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and answer questions to guarantee a positive experience.
  • Model best‑practice service habits—eye contact, courteous language, proactive assistance—and share these techniques with teammates.
  • Identify customer needs, suggest complementary items, and recommend trade‑up or promotional products to enhance satisfaction and increase basket size.
  • Provide specialized support in the photo services area, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and creative machine operations, while upselling promotional photo products.
  • Manage web‑pick‑up orders: monitor incoming requests, accurately pick items, and deliver completed orders to waiting guests.

Point‑of‑Sale Operations

  • Operate assigned cash registers with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Process cash transactions, issue correct change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with arenaflex policies.
  • Maintain a clean, well‑merchandised checkout area, ensuring counters and shelves are organized and stocked.
  • Execute inventory tasks, including receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
  • Apply arenaflex asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize potential profit loss.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco items.
  • Construct and refresh promotional displays, seasonal setups, and super‑structure merchandising to drive sales and enhance visual appeal.
  • Assist with proper food‑item separation (e.g., raw versus pre‑cooked) and adhere to stock rotation best practices using the first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) method.

Store Maintenance & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain a tidy, orderly store environment—both interior and exterior—by performing routine cleaning and organization tasks.
  • Support colleagues by fostering respectful, collaborative relationships and sharing knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Complete special assignments, projects, or ad‑hoc tasks as delegated by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Training & Personal Development

  • Participate in ongoing training programs, completing required Performance‑Based Learning (PBL) modules and any additional learning opportunities assigned by management.
  • Seek out mentorship, cross‑train in other store departments, and actively pursue skill development to broaden your retail expertise.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in territories where local language requirements apply).
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Basic math proficiency and the ability to operate a cash register accurately.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience in a retail or customer‑facing environment.
  • Prior experience working for arenaflex or a comparable retail chain.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic store technology.
  • Experience handling regulated products and understanding of compliance requirements.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to think on your feet, de‑escalate challenging situations, and find win‑win solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate cash handling, precise inventory tracking, and meticulous merchandising.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, willingness to assist teammates, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with a fast‑paced environment, shifting priorities, and evolving store initiatives.
  • Technology Savvy: Basic proficiency with store computers, scanners, and digital photo equipment.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its associates. As a Customer Service Associate, you will have access to:

  • Structured onboarding and continuous on‑the‑job training designed to build expertise in retail operations, customer engagement, and leadership.
  • Mentorship programs that pair you with experienced store leaders who can guide your career trajectory.
  • Pathways to advancement, including roles such as Shift Leader, Department Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, and Store Manager.
  • Cross‑training opportunities in specialty areas like pharmacy, photo services, and e‑commerce fulfillment, expanding your skill set and marketability.
  • Company‑wide learning portals offering courses on sales techniques, compliance, diversity & inclusion, and emerging retail technologies.
