Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Front‑Line Patient Care & Retail Operations Specialist
Join arenaflex – Elevating Community Health Through Exceptional Pharmacy Service
At arenaflex, we believe that a pharmacy is more than a place to fill prescriptions – it’s a vital hub of health, wellness, and community connection. Our stores blend cutting‑edge pharmacy technology with a warm, personalized touch, ensuring every customer leaves feeling cared for and confident about their health choices. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be the face of this mission, delivering a distinctive and delightful experience that reflects arenaflex’s commitment to excellence, safety, and compassion.
Why This Role Matters
Every day, you will interact with patients, caregivers, and fellow team members, acting as a trusted guide through the pharmacy journey. Your role bridges the gap between clinical precision and retail hospitality, ensuring that each prescription is processed accurately while every shopper receives attentive, friendly service. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments, love helping others, and are eager to grow within the dynamic health‑care retail sector.
Core Responsibilities

- Greet every customer and patient with a genuine smile, establishing a welcoming atmosphere that encourages open communication.
- Provide courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service using the assigned cash register, handling cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.

- Resolve inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, ensuring each interaction ends with a satisfied and informed customer.
- Model and share best‑practice service habits—eye contact, active listening, and proactive assistance—with teammates to maintain a consistently high standard of service.
Pharmacy Operations & Prescription Processing
- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy by using arenaflex’s pharmacy system to retrieve patient and drug information.
- Enter prescription data accurately, count, pour, and verify medication quantities, and check for potential drug interactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the on‑duty pharmacist and follow arenaflex’s Quality Improvement Program protocols.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Handle non‑clinical telephone calls, including communication with physicians and third‑party payers, ensuring timely and professional follow‑up.
- Prepare and submit manual claims for third‑party prescription services, maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
Inventory Management & Merchandising
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, pricing, and stocking pharmaceutical and retail merchandise, adhering to FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) principles.
- Maintain clean, organized counters and shelves; construct and refresh promotional displays, seasonal setups, and sale signage.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts, discrepancy reporting, and filing claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco, restricting sales to eligible customers.
Additional Store Support
- Provide photo‑service assistance, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and promotional product recommendations.
- Manage web‑pick‑up orders: monitor incoming requests, pick items accurately, and deliver completed orders to customers in‑store.
- Contribute to store upkeep by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting environment both inside and outside the store.
- Participate in special projects, store resets, and any other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.
