Role Overview – Strategic Customer Engagement Lead (Americas)

As a member of the Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team, you will own the end‑to‑end deal cycle for strategic, large‑scale, and highly competitive opportunities within the Private Equity vertical across the Americas. You will act as a trusted advisor to C‑level executives, IT leaders, and business stakeholders, crafting actionable strategies that align arenaflex’s cloud solutions with the unique goals of each portfolio company.

This role is highly visible and influential, requiring you to collaborate with arenaflex field sales executives, regional sales teams, and a broad network of internal partners—including Service Teams, Finance, Legal, and Private Pricing Programs—to remove obstacles, drive revenue growth, and accelerate cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Leadership & Negotiation: Lead negotiations and guide customers through the closure of strategic, large, complex, or highly competitive deals, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and arenaflex’s value proposition.
  • Strategic Deal Design: Develop and shape comprehensive deal strategies, structures, and pricing models that meet customer objectives while maximizing arenaflex’s revenue potential.
  • Collaboration with Sales & PE Business Development: Partner with arenaflex sales leaders and Private Equity Business Development teams to define success criteria, key performance indicators (KPIs), and program milestones for the PE program.
  • Value Proposition Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of arenaflex’s industry‑specific value propositions and solution architectures for Private Equity portfolio companies.
  • Revenue & Cloud Adoption Growth: Drive measurable revenue growth and increased adoption of arenaflex services across target accounts, leveraging data‑driven insights and market trends.
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment: Work closely with regional sales teams (Americas, EMEA, APJ) and global stakeholders—including Service Teams, Finance, Legal, and Private Pricing Programs—to coordinate deal execution and resolve complex challenges.
  • Trusted Advisory Role: Serve as a strategic advisor to arenaflex field sales executives, helping to craft commercial strategies, identify deal blockers, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Facilitation: Inspire and influence internal experts, senior leaders, and external partners to align around shared goals, removing obstacles and ensuring seamless deal progression.
  • Pricing & Discount Strategy: Develop pricing and discount frameworks, communicate them effectively to customers, and negotiate terms that balance profitability with customer satisfaction.
  • Presentation & Proposal Leadership: Lead or support the creation and delivery of compelling deal proposals, presentations, and business cases to executive audiences.
  • Escalation Management: For high‑impact deals and escalations, take ownership of the winning strategy, coach field teams, and manage the SCE deal team to secure successful outcomes.
  • Regional Leadership Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, supporting arenaflex’s broader strategy within the Private Equity vertical.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in complex enterprise sales, strategic account management, or consulting within the technology or cloud services space.
  • Proven track record of closing multi‑million‑dollar deals, preferably within the Private Equity, financial services, or related industries.
  • Deep understanding of cloud economics, pricing models, and the financial considerations that drive Private Equity investment decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with C‑level executives and senior technical leaders.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating business objectives into quantifiable cloud adoption strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a history of navigating competitive environments and achieving win‑win outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to 30 % domestically and internationally to meet customers and internal partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Private Equity firms, portfolio companies, or investment banking groups.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, M.S. in Finance, or related field) or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, though the certification name is not required after replacement).
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s suite of cloud services, including compute, storage, database, analytics, and AI/ML offerings.
  • Background in financial modeling, deal structuring, or corporate finance.
  • Fluency in multiple languages spoken across the Americas (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese) is a plus.
