Position Overview

The Remote Licensed Social Worker role at arenaflex is a part‑time, fully remote position that partners closely with registered nurse case managers to deliver comprehensive, member‑focused support. You will use your clinical expertise to assess, plan, and advocate for members across the entire lifecycle, helping them navigate financial, transportation, safety, housing, and behavioral health challenges. All interactions are conducted via telephone or secure electronic communication, allowing you to make a difference from anywhere in the United States.

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Pacific Standard Time. No weekends or holidays are required, giving you a predictable schedule that balances professional fulfillment with personal well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough telephonic assessments to identify members’ health, social, and economic needs.
  • Collaborative Care Coordination: Partner with registered nurse case managers to develop individualized care plans that align with each member’s benefit plan and health goals.
  • Resource Navigation: Research and connect members with community resources—including financial assistance programs, transportation services, safe housing options, and behavioral health supports.

Essential Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of residence.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in medical social work, case management, or a closely related field.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
