With a robust remote workforce, arenaflex empowers its team members to work from anywhere while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, data integrity, and customer service. Our mission is to combine clinical expertise with innovative data management to support pharmacies, healthcare providers, and patients across the United States.

Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will be the backbone of our claims processing, prescription verification, and patient outreach initiatives. Your meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of pharmacy operations will directly influence the speed and accuracy of medication dispensing, insurance reimbursement, and overall patient satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to apply your pharmacy technician expertise in a fully remote environment while contributing to a company that values continuous learning, professional growth, and a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Verification: Accurately input prescription data, patient demographics, and insurance information into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prescription Intake: Receive new written or electronic prescriptions, confirm essential details (patient name, DOB, medication name, strength, directions, refills, prescriber information), and flag any discrepancies for pharmacist review.
  • Claims Adjudication: Submit third‑party insurance claims, monitor adjudication status, and resolve rejections by contacting providers, insurers, or patients in a timely manner.
  • Prior Authorization Management: Initiate and track prior authorization requests, gather required documentation, and communicate outcomes to prescribers and patients.
  • Medicare DMEPOS Coordination: Collaborate with the pharmacist to complete Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies paperwork, ensuring accurate billing and compliance.
  • Controlled Substance Compliance: Verify that all controlled substance dispensing rules (MME calculations, PDMP checks, date of last fill) are adhered to, documenting each step according to arenaflex policies.
  • Patient & Provider Outreach: Conduct outreach calls to patients, prescribers, and third‑party payers to clarify prescription details, resolve claim issues, and provide medication counseling support as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Support: Assist store teams in gathering MTM data, documenting interventions, and ensuring that all required information is captured for quality reporting.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work closely with Remote Delivery Operations (RDO) teams to support daily workflow, troubleshoot system issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough records of all interactions, claim submissions, and regulatory checks, generating reports for management review as needed.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold arenaflex’s standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service in every interaction, fostering a courteous and supportive environment for patients and colleagues alike.

  • High school diploma or GED; a strong foundation in science and mathematics is preferred.
  • Current national pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCE, ExCPT) is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to patients, prescribers, and insurance representatives.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced remote environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of troubleshooting technical or procedural issues independently.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) integration and health information exchange (HIE) platforms.
  • Familiarity with Medicare Part D, DMEPOS, and other government program billing requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and controlled substance regulations.
