Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic, customer‑focused individuals to join our Phone Customer Service team. In this role, you will be the voice of arenaflex, delivering exceptional support to our customers, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a seamless experience that drives retention and satisfaction. The position is open to both monolingual English speakers and bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish, reflecting our commitment to serving a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Answer inbound calls promptly, greet customers warmly, and establish a professional rapport.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose issues, provide accurate information, and guide customers toward effective resolutions.
  • Retention Focus: Employ active listening and empathy to address concerns, turning potential churn into loyalty.
  • Documentation: Accurately log all interactions in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and follow‑up clarity.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of arenaflex’s services, policies, and technical specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Share insights with peers and supervisors, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Multilingual Support (for bilingual candidates): Provide seamless assistance in both English and Spanish, translating complex information as needed.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average handle time, first‑call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including navigation of Windows PCs, web browsers, and common office software.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, with a pleasant tone and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English; bilingual candidates must be fluent in Spanish.
  • Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively offer solutions.
  • Experience in a customer‑service or call‑center environment, preferably with a track record of high satisfaction scores.
  • Residency in Iowa, with a preference for candidates located within 60 miles of one of our physical locations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented culture while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in telecommunications, utilities, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar tools.
  • Certification in customer‑service excellence or related fields.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth through training or coursework.

Work Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

arenaflex offers flexible scheduling to accommodate a variety of lifestyles. During the paid training period (August 25 – September 12, Monday‑Friday, 9 am – 4 pm), you will receive comprehensive instruction on our systems, policies, and best practices. After training, you may select from the following regular shift options:

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The base hourly wage is $14.50. A shift differential of $0.75 per hour applies for the 2nd shift (any scheduled hours that fall between 4 pm – 12 am on a routine basis). This role is initially classified as a temporary, non‑benefited position, but high performers have the opportunity to transition into a regular, full‑time role within five months, based on performance and organizational needs.
