Position Summary

The Part‑Time Customer Service Leader role is a pivotal front‑end position that blends hands‑on service with leadership responsibilities. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager, you will champion arenaflex’s customer service standards, ensure smooth store‑office operations, and drive sales through exceptional guest interactions. Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction & Service Excellence
    • Greet every customer with a warm smile, using their name whenever possible to personalize the experience.
    • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service at the checkout, ensuring each transaction is completed efficiently.
    • Engage customers in a helpful manner while avoiding personal conversations with colleagues when guests are present.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front‑end work station and checkout area.
  • Operational Support & Accuracy
    • Complete store‑office functions accurately and on time, including cash reports, register check‑ups, deposits, and processing of arenaflex financial services transactions.
    • Communicate any cash variances promptly to the Assistant Customer Service Manager.
    • Monitor and report register malfunctions, placing service calls efficiently when needed.
    • Ensure the arenaflex savings kiosk is stocked with paper and fully operational.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership
    • Assist the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Manager in training new associates on register functions and front‑end accounting services.
    • Step in as a sales associate during scheduled shifts or surge periods, following the surge‑plan guidelines.
    • Act as the customer lead when required, upholding service standards and guiding teammates.
    • Maintain alertness, call for assistance when needed, and ensure a courteous environment for both customers and fellow associates.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Adhere to arenaflex’s dress code, wearing the official uniform and name badge while on duty.
    • Observe and correct unsafe conditions, reporting any hazards that could affect associates or customers.
    • Notify Quality Assurance of cleaning issues or maintenance needs on the front end.
    • Complete all required computer‑based training (CBT) and ongoing skill‑development courses.
  • Additional Duties
    • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as moving empty bottles from the front end to the back room.
    • Support inventory replenishment, merchandising, and promotional set‑ups during slower periods.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements associated with cash register operation and arenaflex’s service center.
  • Ability to meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions, lift and bend with loads up to 15 lb continuously, 25 lb frequently, and 50 lb occasionally; ability to push or pull up to 75 lb on occasion.
  • Capacity to stand for the duration of the shift, walk short distances frequently, and tolerate brief exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to verify IDs, checks, invoices, and other written documents.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a retail front‑end or customer‑service leadership role.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and basic accounting functions.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, especially when addressing register errors or customer concerns.
  • Ability to train and mentor new associates, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications and the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
