Position Overview – Remote Data Entry Analyst (Executive Compensation & Analytics)

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Remote Data Entry Analyst to join our Executive Compensation team within the People & HR Division. This role is fully remote, based in California, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $35‑$45. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in designing, building, and maintaining analytical solutions that support executive compensation programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Development: Conceptualize and develop robust solutions for calculating incentive compensation awards, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical Modeling: Build and refine analytical models that support compensation analysis, forecast trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Data Management: Work with large, complex datasets that include salary, HR, and payroll information; cleanse, transform, and validate data to guarantee eligibility determinations are precise.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR Technology, Payroll, IT, and business units to acquire data, understand requirements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Visualization & Reporting: Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Process Innovation: Identify and implement cutting‑edge automation and AI‑driven approaches to streamline compensation processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data integrity.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain thorough documentation of data pipelines, analytical models, and business rules to support auditability and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean‑Six Sigma or similar continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality across the compensation function.

Essential Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in an analytical business domain such as Business Analytics, Economics, or Data Visualization.
  • Proven expertise in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from relational databases, with at least five (5) years of hands‑on experience.
  • Strong command of SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R, or PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated experience with data‑visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Applied Data Science, or a closely related field.
  • Professional experience programming in T‑SQL and Python for data extraction and model development.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Familiarity with code editors such as Visual Studio Code or Azure Data Studio.
  • Experience using Alteryx Designer for data blending and workflow automation.
  • Exposure to HR or payroll data structures and related business processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, or other low‑code workflow solutions.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) is a plus.
  • Project management experience, including Agile or Scrum methodologies.
