Job Posting Title: Adjunct Instructor-5 Position Type: Faculty Department: LSUAM MC - Undergraduate Programs and Student Success (Sadie Dawn Wilks (00011640)) Work Location: Journalism Building Pay Grade: Academic Job Description: This is a Adjunct Instructor (part-time) position teaching undergraduate courses for the Manship School of Mass Communication. The teaching load is one or two mass communication course(s) per semester. Job Responsibilities: Teach one or two undergraduate mass communication course(s) per semester. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in mass communication or related field. Degree Substitute - Bachelor's degree in mass communication or related field with professional work-related experience that clearly documents the qualifications to teach the course(s). Additional Requirements: FERPA - As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency.
