Senior Accounting Associate

What You'll Do
As a key member of the accounting team, you will:
- Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities across multiple business entities.
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations while researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and commission reporting.
- Support consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Assist with cash management and monitoring of cash activity across various operating entities.
- Prepare audit schedules, tax support documentation, and internal reporting packages.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and accounting workflow enhancements.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and documentation to support scalability and operational excellence.
- Participate in special projects, business integrations, and strategic growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial close processes.
- Experience managing high-volume reconciliations and working with large data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Insurance, healthcare, or financial services industry experience.
- Familiarity with commission accounting and carrier reporting.
- Experience supporting multi-entity organizations.
- Exposure to tax consulting, professional services, or agency operations environments.
