Epic EHR Workflow & Physician Efficiency Specialist (Former or Current Epic Analyst Only)

We are seeking a highly experienced Epic workflow and optimization specialist to work directly with a busy family medicine physician to improve documentation efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce time spent charting after clinic hours. Please apply only if you are a current or former Epic Analyst with hands-on Epic optimization experience. We are not looking for general EMR consultants, virtual assistants, or basic Epic users. The objective is to redesign workflows and configure Epic tools so charts are completed more efficiently during the visit with minimal post-visit editing. Scope of work may include: Optimize Epic workflows for physician efficiency Build and refine SmartPhrases, SmartTexts, SmartLists, SmartSets, preference lists, and SmartTools Improve chart structure and reduce documentation burden Optimize in-basket workflows and patient messaging management Configure templates and shortcuts for family medicine workflows Evaluate and improve use of Epic AI / ambient documentation tools where available Train physician and staff on practical Epic best practices Identify opportunities to reduce clicks and automate repetitive tasks Ideal candidate: Current or former Epic Analyst (required) Deep experience with Epic optimization and physician workflow design Experience supporting outpatient and/or family medicine physicians preferred Demonstrated success improving chart closure time and reducing after-hours charting Experience with physician training and workflow adoption Familiarity with AI-assisted documentation tools is a plus Project goals: Reduce physician documentation time Improve note quality and consistency Minimize post-visit chart editing Improve patient communication and inbox efficiency Increase overall physician productivity and satisfaction When applying, please include: Epic certifications and analyst experience Modules supported (Ambulatory strongly preferred) Examples of physician efficiency improvements you implemented Experience with SmartTools / SmartPhrase optimization Experience with AI documentation or ambient scribe workflows We are looking for someone who has actually built and optimized Epic environments and understands how to create meaningful efficiency gains for physicians.
